The fam and I celebrated with some fancy french toast and a casting lesson out on the grounds of my alum. Mom, Dad and Sis did a great job laying out some line. Though I’m far from pro casting instructor-ness, I think I’ve come up with a great bit of advice for the novice caster. I don’t want to elaborate until it has been thoroughly field-tested, but I’m thinkin’ ol’ lefty may soon have some competition on the FF circuit.

Fly Tyer Mag featured a similar pattern with green foam, round rubber legs and mono eyes. Having none of those materials, I pieced together this sexy bug.
