Stache-Sickles - A 14 Degree Morning and My Stiff Upper Lip

Got mostly blanked on the Brazos. One Rainbow to hand and, with an unnecessary gear change, a couple of under-sized Striper.

I’m halfway over this artificial fishery. Probing complicated water with size 20 dropper rigs for weak, 8” belly pale stockers is no way to spend a chilly morning. But, warmer days have the fish rising for anything small and hackled, so I will more than likely be back.

The next time my guides ice up, I better be swinging articulated meat for Chrome- wild or not.

Fish, the vomit chunks I call flies, and an ugly spattering of wingshooting babble.
